Job Title: Worker's Comp Legal Assistant

Experience:

Responsibilities:

Transcription of dictation
Open and close case files
Organize and maintain documents in a paper & electronic filing systems
Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
File exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel
Call clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions
Submit invoices for payment to Accounts Payable

Qualifications:


Familiar with legal/medical terminology
Prior Worker's Comp experience preferred, but not required

Overview:

Evans & Dixon, a Midwest law firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant with 1-3+ years of experience to join their St. Louis Worker's Compensation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible, possess excellent technical and interpersonal skills, and have a strong work ethic. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary based on experience level and client orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

Transcription of dictation

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
