We are currently seeking a Private Equity/Mergers & Acquisitions Associate to join our Corporate and Private Equity Department in our Chicago office. This is a lateral position, open for experienced attorneys with at least 5-6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a preference for those with experience in private equity-led transactions.

Our Corporate and Private Equity Department is comprised of over 50 attorneys who specialize in various types of private equity transactions. Our team has extensive experience in leveraged buy-outs, independent sponsor transactions, rollups, minority and junior capital investments, "going private" transactions, and purchases of troubled companies in or out of bankruptcy. We also have a dedicated team that represents general partners and major limited partners in forming private equity, venture capital, mezzanine, and real estate funds. In fact, we are one of the leading national law firms representing Small Business Investment Companies, having represented over 100 SBIC funds on various issues related to fund formation, licensing, transitional work, and sales of SBIC fund portfolios.
