Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will primarily handle environmental and insurance litigation matters, collaborating with a team to provide comprehensive legal services to clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in business and contract litigation and a keen interest and/or experience in environmental recovery and insurance recovery lawsuits.

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Take and defend depositions, as well as participate in hearings and trials.
  • Interact directly with clients, providing counsel and guidance throughout the litigation process.
  • Develop and implement relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited institutions.
  • Admitted to practice law in Indiana.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in environmental and insurance litigation.
  • Strong environmental and insurance law knowledge, including Indiana’s Environmental Legal Action statute and CERCLA.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a flexible approach to work.

Education and Certifications:
