Corporate Counsel III - Protecting the Enterprise and Ensuring Compliance with Relevant Laws and Regulations Job Title: Corporate Counsel III Location: Atlanta, GA and Virtual from Any State, FL Salary: $145, - $245, per year Experience: At least 7 years with laws and regulations applicable to service providers and banking institutions, including consumer financial protection laws. Position Summary: FIS, a leading global financial technology company, is seeking a Corporate Counsel III to join their Regulatory Legal team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide legal advice and maintain the regulatory change management process. The successful candidate will be part of a legal team of 200 attorneys and paraprofessionals and will play a key role in protecting the enterprise and ensuring compliance with relevant law and regulations. Responsibilities: • Provide legal advice on a variety of general corporate and regulatory compliance matters to colleagues across the organization. • Develop and implement strategies and processes to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory changes. • Collaborate with cross-functional areas to provide opinions and advice on federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. • Handle regulatory inquiries and coordinate legal matters handled by outside counsel. Requirements: • Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school and license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction. • At least 7 years of experience with laws and regulations applicable to service providers and banking institutions, including consumer financial protection laws. • Proven ability to review and evaluate complex legal issues and provide counsel to business, legal, and compliance colleagues. • Familiarity and experience with regulators is a plus. • Previous in-house experience and experience implementing a regulatory change management process is a plus. • Previous fintech or regulatory experience is a plus. The pay range for this full-time position is $145, - $245, and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
