A law firm is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Attorney for their Nashville, TN, office. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Senior Commercial Real Estate Attorney will be responsible for negotiating and drafting various leases, property acquisition and sale documents, easements, condominium documents, and other related legal documents. Additionally, the candidate will coordinate and lead a team of attorneys, conduct closings, review complex agreements, and manage client correspondence.

Duties:

  • Negotiate and draft various leases, acquisition, and sale documents, easements, and condominium documents.
  • Coordinate and direct the review, management, and preparation of commercial leasing and acquisition/sale documentation.
  • Review due diligence, monitor contingencies, and prepare closing documents.
  • Conducted closings, reviewed settlement statements, and completed post-closing documentation.
  • Draft complex operating agreements, shareholders’ agreements, and other client contracts.
  • Draft correspondence relating to lease agreement disputes.
  • Organize and maintain client files.
  • Lead a team of attorneys for portfolio transactions in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor and calendar deadlines.
  • Handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of continuous, specific, and verifiable experience in a large law firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree and . Degree.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws, court procedures, and filing requirements.
  • Ability to organize factual and legal data into clear arguments.
  • Licensed to practice law in TN and in good standing.
  • A high degree of initiative, mature judgment, and discretion.
  • Organization and time management skills.
