The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing cases from inception to conclusion, with a focus on legal research, drafting documents, and providing strategic advice to clients.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, ensuring cases are handled from start to finish
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis of insurance laws and regulations
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, briefs, and correspondence
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and legal strategy
  • Provide timely and sound legal advice to clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to practice law in New York; New Jersey admission is a plus
  • Strong legal writing and communication skills
  • Experience with civil litigation and legal project management preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively
  • Commitment to staying informed about industry trends and developments in insurance law

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in New York
  • New Jersey bar admission is a plus
