Job Responsibilities:

Defend against wage and hour litigation, with a focus on class actions;
Utilize knowledge and experience of California and federal wage and hour laws, including overtime and meal and rest periods;
Prepare and respond to written discovery in wage and hour litigation with limited supervision and oversight;
Conduct depositions and handle motions involving discovery issues;
Work with clients to create and execute discovery plans;
Draft oppositions to motions for class certification in wage and hour matters;
Communicate effectively and professionally with clients regarding legal and strategic issues in wage and hour litigation;
Ensure timely and efficient follow-through on all tasks.

Qualifications:

At least four years of experience handling defense of wage and hour litigation, preferably class actions;
Strong understanding of California and federal wage and hour laws;
Experience with written discovery and depositions;
Ability to create and execute discovery plans;
Excellent writing skills, specifically in drafting oppositions to motions for class certification;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
