Law Firm Seeking Legal Practice Assistant in Charlotte, NC Are you an experienced legal practice assistant with a background in intellectual property? Look no further! Burr & Forman LLP is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Charlotte, NC. Key Contributions: - Perform complex administrative duties in a fast-paced legal environment - Draft assignments, licenses, and other agreements related to patents and proprietary information/technology - Make electronic filings with the Patent Office under attorney supervision - Track patent application and foreign filing deadlines - Conduct online research for technical literature and patent databases - Other responsibilities as needed The Essentials: - Minimum of 2 years experience as a transactional legal secretary/assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department, preferably with a focus on intellectual property - Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ability to type 50 wpm - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership - Ability to balance competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Willingness to work overtime as needed We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in our hiring and promotion practices.
