Walgreens is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Paralegal to join our legal team in the area of Employment Law and Employee Benefits. In this role, you will provide support to our attorneys and business stakeholders in a variety of legal matters. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, investigating claims, preparing legal documents, and staying current on changes in laws and procedures related to employment law and benefits. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research and prepare factual and legal research summaries
- Assist in drafting position statements and responses to administrative claims
- Investigate and respond to attorney demand letters and administrative requests for information
- Provide litigation support for employment matters, including managing discovery requests and working with internal stakeholders and outside counsel
- Develop and implement internal policies and templates related to customer, employee, and third-party claims
- Assist in-house counsel with preparing for mediations, depositions, and trials
- Stay current on changes in laws and procedures related to employment law and benefits
- Provide support for compensation and benefits legal matters, including ERISA litigation and employee claims/appeals
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders

Qualifications:

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of paralegal experience in a corporate law department or law firm OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 6 years of paralegal experience with a corporate law department or law firm
- Strong knowledge of legal concepts and processes
- Experience evaluating information for compliance with laws and regulations
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Advanced analytical and written communication skills
- Interpersonal and team-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree and Paralegal certificate from an ABA-certified program
- Experience with legal research tools such as LexisNexis or Westlaw
- Knowledge of employment law in a retail or healthcare setting
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and handling a large case load
