The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate or graduate life science degree (biological, chemical, or structural biology) as well as substantial course work or work experience involving computational biology, statistics or advanced mathematics.

### Job Responsibilities

* Provide legal advice and counsel to clients in the life sciences industry
* Manage litigation and transactional matters
* Conduct legal research and analysis
* Draft legal documents
* Work closely with partners and other attorneys on complex legal issues
* Assist in the preparation of patent applications
* Prepare and prosecute patent applications
* Monitor and respond to developments in the life sciences industry

### Qualifications

* Undergraduate or graduate life science degree (biological, chemical, or structural biology)
* Substantial course work or work experience involving computational biology, statistics or advanced mathematics
* Ability to read and understand computer source code in one or more programming languages such as Python
* Knowledge of next generation sequencing techniques (not required but beneficial)
* Excellent academic credentials
* Strong research, writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
* Pennsylvania bar membership is required for any associate candidates
