Job Title: Litigation and Complex Collections Attorney Sr.
Experience: Juris Doctor Degree (.) and relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Department: Litigation and Complex Collection Business Unit

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the Litigation and Complex Collection Business Unit to establish long-range goals, strategies and plans
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop and implement marketing strategies
- Establish credibility throughout the Firm as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges
- Work cross functionally with Weltman internal departments to drive business improvements and implement best practices
- Demonstrate a positive demeanor to lead change and support Firm initiatives
- Drive the local business unit to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, business goals and objectives
- Act within the policies standards and compliance regulations established by the Firm
- Provide appropriate mentoring and serve as a resource for less experience legal and support staff
- Assist with the training and development of staff
- Manage national legal and replevin network; consult with clients and local attorneys on legal issues
- Handle litigation for traditional legal programs and Central Ohio
- Defend against counterclaims

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor Degree (.) and relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Must have experience as a litigation attorney and trial experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply principles of logical or scientific thinking
- Knowledge of relevant laws, legal codes, legal/court procedures, and government regulations
- Must hold a current, valid state license to practice law and abide by professional conduct and ethical standards
- Ability to work independently and effectively handle multiple projects
- Polished professional public speaking skills and comfortable in a courtroom setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Time management and multi-tasking skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
