Law Firm is looking for a Tax Controversy Counsel Law Firm is looking for an experienced and qualified Tax Controversy Counsel to join our Taxation and Wealth Planning Department. The successful candidate must have 8-10 years of tax litigation experience and possess a . The position is available in multiple offices, including Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC; and Philadelphia, PA. Responsibilities: - Represent clients in civil and criminal tax controversy cases before the IRS and other tax authorities - Advise clients on whistleblower claims, voluntary offshore disclosures, and other tax-related matters - Analyze tax regulations, case law, and other legal documents to identify potential tax liabilities - Develop strategies to minimize or eliminate tax liabilities - Prepare documents for filing with the IRS and other tax authorities - Negotiate settlements and other agreements with the IRS and other tax authorities - Respond to requests for additional information from the IRS and other tax authorities - Represent clients in appeals before the IRS and other tax authorities - Provide guidance to clients on tax planning and compliance - Prepare and review tax returns - Prepare and review legal documents related to tax controversies - Monitor IRS and other tax authority regulations and changes - Participate in continuing legal education courses related to tax law and tax controversies Qualifications: - - 8-10 years of tax litigation experience - Licensed to practice in the state where the office resides - Strong academic record and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compensation & Benefits: Law Firm offers a competitive compensation and benefits package for all of our employees.
