Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Finance and Restructuring Associate to join its growing Finance & Restructuring practice group. This hybrid position is available across multiple office locations. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of experience in corporate finance, including work with financial institutions and borrowers in commercial finance transactions. The role involves drafting and reviewing financial documents, advising on covenant compliance, and managing due diligence teams.

Location:

  • Indianapolis, IN

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate corporate finance documents such as loan agreements, security agreements, and intercreditor agreements.
  • Advise clients on compliance with loan covenants and other financial regulations.
  • Lead and manage due diligence teams for commercial finance transactions.
  • Handle loan originations, real estate financings, and other complex financial transactions.
  • Provide strategic advice to financial institutions, private and public companies, and private credit clients.
  • Work independently and manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior associates.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in corporate finance or commercial finance.
  • Experience with drafting loan agreements, security agreements, and intercreditor agreements.
  • Knowledge of covenant compliance and advising on financial regulations.
  • Experience leading due diligence teams and managing legal professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters concurrently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality legal work.

Education:

  • . from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar (specific to the office location).

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing and drafting skills.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance law, including loan transactions and real estate financings.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management skills.
