As the IP Docket Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing our docket system, tracking deadlines, and mitigating malpractice risks. This position also involves supporting foreign docketing processes and requires a strong focus on international matters. Job Title: Intellectual Property Docket Administrator Job ID: 2176C Location: Denver Department: Intellectual Property Services Job Function: Staff Responsibilities: - Manage docket system for filing deadlines and response dates for attorneys - Research and oversee docketing procedures in compliance with current rules and practices - Supervise and provide professional development to other team members within the docketing department - Generate reports for attorneys and clients as requested - Work with IT to ensure docketing database system is up-to-date - Serve as the main contact with the docketing database system vendor - Enter and manage data in docketing database systems and distribute docket sheets to attorneys and their support staff - Review transferred new matters and input due dates into the docketing system - Prepare patent application filing requests and transmittals, file PCT patent applications electronically, and handle all associated prosecution filings and client correspondence - File foreign applications through foreign patent counsel and manage formality requirements and non-substantive actions during foreign prosecution - Review and approve patent invoices from foreign counsel - Process email requests from attorneys, secretaries, and others - May report correspondence to clients - Download and save pleadings to the firm's internal document management system / case docket and circulate to the case team - Assist with conducting Internet research and patent screening searches Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - 2-4 years of related experience - Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize tasks - Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality - Leadership qualities and ability to provide constructive feedback and solutions - Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to changes - Team player with the ability to provide feedback and solutions - Alignment to the firm's values and commitment to diversity and inclusion efforts Preferred Qualifications: - Paralegal or Associate's degree - 3-5 years of related experience Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer.
