Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Experience: 3+ years in litigation
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation case management and preparation
- Review, analyze, and summarize legal documentation
- Schedule depositions and meetings with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
- Identify, locate, interview, and evaluate potential experts
- Track requests for documents and follow up on progress
- Proactively work to move cases forward
- Document files and update clients on case status
- Participate in all aspects of discovery and trial preparation
- Prepare draft discovery documents
- Maintain expert database and research opposing counsel's experts
- Make travel arrangements and provide necessary information to attorneys
- Perform legal research on relevant issues and precedents
- File documents with various courts
- Perform clerical duties such as typing and filing
- Enter billable time into computer on a daily basis
- Meet minimum billing requirement of 140 hours per month
- Perform non-billable functions as needed, such as participating on committees and mentoring new employees
- Ensure all functions are performed in accordance with client guidelines
- Remain flexible and open to additional duties as directed by management

Requirements:
- Associate's degree or certified paralegal education
- Knowledge of legal principles and practices
- Familiarity with various courts and their rules and filing requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Typing speed of 45 wpm and proficiency with computer and office equipment
- Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week as needed
- Ability to sit, bend, stoop, and use computer and telephone for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in litigation
- Certified Paralegal
