The PCAOB, a nonprofit organization established by Congress, is seeking a Fall 2024 Legal Intern to join their team and make a difference in global investor protection. This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate based on education level and qualifications, as well as a hybrid work option with the ability to work from anywhere within the United States. The intern will provide support to attorneys and accountants by conducting legal research and writing, collecting and analyzing financial information, and assisting with regulatory and transactional projects. This role is ideal for a law student currently enrolled in an accredited law school with a bachelor's degree and proficiency in Microsoft software applications and legal research databases. The intern must have excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with limited supervision. Fluency in another language is a plus. Responsibilities: - Assist attorneys and accountants in analyzing investigative materials - Prepare reports based on review of investigative materials - Review regulatory filings and analyze financial information - Work with project teams in support of standard-setting activities - Collect and analyze financial and non-financial information - Conduct research using internet and subscription database services - Assist with comment letters and public meetings - Perform other duties and special projects as needed Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in an accredited law school - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college - Proficient in Microsoft software applications and legal research databases - Excellent communication skills - Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills - Ability to meet deadlines and make effective decisions - Ability to work under pressure and with limited supervision - Fluency in another language is a plus Equal Employment Opportunity: All PCAOB employees are entitled to equal opportunity and a professional work environment, free of discrimination and harassment.
