  • Conduct freedom to operate and IP due diligence searches and analyses to support licensing, acquisitions, and research and development.
  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications, contributing to the development of strong patent portfolios for pipeline products and platform technologies.
  • Liaise with clients, the USPTO, and foreign associates to manage domestic and foreign patent application processes and strategies.
  • Have opportunities for career advancement and receive training with increasing responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups and offices in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be a registered patent attorney.
  • Possess an advanced degree and research experience in biological sciences (. in areas such as molecular or cell biology, microbiology, immunology, genetics, organic chemistry, or biochemistry).
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Hold 3-8 years of patent experience in life sciences.
  • Have a superior academic record, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Previous law firm experience in patent work within the pharmaceutical and life sciences fields.
  • Current registration with the USPTO in good standing.
