Trusts & Estates Attorney: Design Plans for High-Net-Worth Clients in San Francisco Law Firm JKZ LLP, a highly respected law firm in San Francisco, is seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney with at least three years of experience in designing plans for high-net-worth clients. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $140k - $200k and requires a Juris Doctorate and active membership in the California State Bar. The ideal candidate for this role will have expertise in Federal tax law and California state tax law, with an . in Tax preferred. They must also have prior experience in taking the lead role in client meetings and managing client communications and expectations. Superior analytical, communication, drafting, writing, and research skills are a must, along with the ability to work both independently and as a team member. This is a fast-paced environment, and the Trusts & Estates Attorney must be able to multitask and manage a voluminous caseload. They will be responsible for designing and drafting various irrevocable trusts, such as Crummey trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and more. They will also be involved in planning for blended families, generation-skipping transfer tax planning, international estate planning and cross-border issues, fiduciary income tax issues, and preparation of estate tax returns and gift tax returns. In addition to these duties, the Trusts & Estates Attorney will also be responsible for managing complex trust administrations, performing initial client intake calls, and performing legal research. They must also be organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a team, set goals, and mentor others. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and a solid command of English are also required.
