What You Will Do: - Draft, review, and negotiate various music industry agreements and legal documents. - Prepare legal correspondence and organize form agreements and legal memos. - Review legal agreements and summarize rights and obligations. - Conduct legal research and analyze rights and obligations. - Assist with promotions, sweepstakes, and other marketing support for label product releases and events. - Respond to legal inquiries and escalate issues as needed. - Maintain databases and coordinate the execution and distribution of documents. - Compare and proofread agreements and materials. - Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications & Skills: - Experience in the music industry or at a law firm/agency representing music companies preferred. - Paralegal certification required or qualifications to work as a Paralegal as set forth by the American Bar Association and applicable state codes. - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Fluent in English, other language fluency a plus. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proactive, flexible, and detail-oriented. - Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. - Self-starter with excellent work ethic and commitment to confidentiality. Required Education: - Bachelor's degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal as set forth by the American Bar Association and state codes. Salary Information: - Hiring range: $84,500 to $113,300 per year (40 hour work week). - Hours may vary based on business needs. - Actual pay offered will consider internal equity, geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. - Bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included in the compensation package, along with full benefits.
