- Gain real-world experience in your field of study with DCF's Student Internship Program
- Provide direct and indirect services in various Local and Area Offices, and in the CP&P and DCF Central Offices
- Education requirements:
- Disqualifying factors: Finger Prints, Outside Activity Questionnaire, Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) background check, driving record with five points or more within the past five years, driving under the influence conviction within the past five years, or any combination of three motor vehicle violations/license suspensions within the last five years (excluding parking violations)
- Office: Legal Affairs
- Excellent writing skills and professional communication expected
- Conduct legal research and summarize Appellate and Supreme Court Decisions
- Assist with processing administrative appeals and writing Final Agency Decisions
- Work closely with the immigration unit to assist Department staff and educate others on immigration issues facing the populations served by DCF
- Students can submit an inquiry form for consideration
- Field coordinators can also submit an inquiry form on behalf of their students
- Placement is not guaranteed and the application process can take up to 2 months
