A law firm seeks a highly skilled and motivated attorney with over three years of experience in business law and litigation to join the legal team in Livonia, MI. Duties

• Manage legal cases from start to trial, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Handle legal research, analysis, and writing to support litigation and commercial matters.
• Take and defend depositions effectively.
• Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex legal issues and new projects.
• Provide high-quality legal services to clients in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of business law and litigation experience.
• Strong case management skills, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Proficient in taking and defending depositions, conducting legal research, and managing discovery.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining professional service standards.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school with strong academic credentials.
• An active member in good standing with the Michigan Bar.

Certifications

• Admitted to the Michigan Bar in good standing.

Skills

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent research, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and electronic discovery platforms.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new projects and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
• Public entity defense experience is a plus, but not required.
