A leading law firm is seeking an experienced International Employment Attorney to join its Employment Group in a non-partnership track role. This position requires an attorney with at least 5 years of experience in employment counseling, focusing on both domestic and international matters. The ideal candidate will provide counsel on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including conducting employment diligence, negotiating employment agreements, advising on workforce reductions, and addressing employee mobility and restrictive covenants. This attorney will work with clients and teams across multiple offices on global employment issues.

Duties

  • Advise clients on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including employment diligence and compliance.
  • Draft and negotiate various employment-related agreements such as retention and severance agreements.
  • Provide counsel on reductions in force, employee terminations, and other workforce management issues.
  • Advise clients on employee mobility, restrictive covenants, and related legal concerns.
  • Support emerging companies with strategic employment law advice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple office locations to manage global employment matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law, with a focus on counseling both domestic and international clients.
  • Experience in advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions and employment-related agreements.
  • Strong background in employee terminations, reductions in force, and workforce management.
  • Familiarity with international employment laws and cross-border legal matters.
  • Ability to manage complex legal issues in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where the candidate is applying.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients, legal teams, and business professionals.
