Position Summary

Shutts & Bowen LLP is currently seeking a highly experienced attorney to join their Intellectual Property group as an expert in Patent and Trademark Litigation. The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution, preferably in a law firm setting. They must also be admitted to the Patent Bar. This position will involve working closely with other partners and senior associates on complex patent and trademark matters. The successful candidate will possess strong litigation skills, exceptional drafting and communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines and as part of a team. A degree in engineering or computer science, or extensive experience litigating patents in these areas, is required. Candidates who are members of the Patent Bar are strongly preferred, and must be a member of the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming one. Shutts is open to considering attorneys looking to relocate to Florida, but some portable business is necessary for this role. Compensation offered is highly competitive.
