Law firm is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join their patent counseling, prosecution, and litigation practice. The ideal candidate should have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field and possess substantive industry experience.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses
- Analyze patent and scientific papers and documents to assist patent attorneys
- Draft patent applications and responses to office actions
- Advise lawyers on technology issues in preparation for depositions

Requirements:
- Must possess superb technical, written and verbal communication skills in English
- Broad scientific knowledge in electrical engineering or computer science
- Expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning is preferred
- Must be eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet registration requirements as a patent agent
- Law school tuition assistance is available for patent agent candidates

Salary Information:
- Expected annual pay range: $125,000 - $205,000
- Final offer amount dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of candidate

Experience:
- Substantive industry experience in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet registration requirements as a patent agent

Qualifications:
- Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field

- Broad scientific knowledge in electrical engineering or computer science
- Expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning is preferred
- Initiative, fast learner, and ability to work well with others
