Overview:
• PAGNY is a multispecialty medical practice group that staffs municipal hospitals and clinics in New York City.
• Corporate staff provides administrative, practice management and human resources services in support of over 3000 clinical providers.
• Legal Assistant provides support to the legal department under the supervision of General Counsel.
• Expected to complete work with high quality and contribute to a respectful and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain corporate records, correspondence, vendor contracts and other legal department documents.
• Assist in contract management process for vendor contracts, including tracking, finalizing and coordinating signatures.
• Assist in corporate filings and applications.
• Track legal vendor invoice fees and payments.
• Track, manage, and assist outside counsel with pending litigation matters.
• Attend meetings and take minutes.
• Support General Counsel with administrative matters.
• Manage attorneys’ calendars, schedules, and appointments.
• Other administrative duties as assigned.
• 5 days per week on site required.

Qualifications:
• Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of significant in-house corporate experience, preferably in healthcare, hospital administration or large medical practice.
• Litigation experience working either in a law firm or an in-house legal department preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to deal with confidential information on a daily basis.
• Ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Positive and proactive problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Ideal Candidate:

• Works well under pressure and able to juggle multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, speaking and writing skills.
• Takes a hands-on role within a small but dynamic legal department.

Salary Information:
• Annual Salary = $65, - $75,.
• Salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant.
• Factors considered when determining base salary and/or rate include location, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity.
