Bressler, Amery & Ross, a rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, is looking for a Litigation Associate for their Birmingham office. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and/or managing a caseload, subject to Principal supervision, and will assist in the representation of clients in arbitration, litigation, and regulatory investigations.

The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, be a member in good standing of the AL state bar, or have pending bar results, and have knowledge of business law and specific understanding of the operations and requirements of clients. Furthermore, they should have experience and ability appropriate to the level of cases being handled, knowledge of state law, strong analytical skills used for complex legal issues, and the ability to appraise, interpret and apply legal principles and precedents to difficult legal problems. Excellent research and writing skills are also required.

The Litigation Associate will be responsible for conducting discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other similar proceedings. They will also need to work closely with Principals to develop and revise appropriate legal strategy for discovery, investigation, handling, and case trials and hearings, as well as provide guidance to clients on legal opinions, rights, and obligations.
