Position Summary

- Seeking Senior Associate or Partner for Private Client Services Practice Group
- Can be based in any Shutts location, but must be willing to spend time in Miami office
- 5-15 years of relevant experience required
- Experience in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, estate and trust administration, and related services
- Experience with international estate planning a plus
- Will work closely with a Partner who is Florida Bar Board Certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates
- LLM in Tax or Estate Planning preferred, but not required
- Must be a member of the Florida Bar or willing to become one

Key Responsibilities

- Provide legal services in the areas of estate planning, estate and gift taxation, estate and trust administration, and related services
- Work closely with a Partner in the Private Client Services Practice Group
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the firm
- Participate in business development and client retention efforts
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations
- Attend and present at conferences and seminars
- Mentor and supervise junior associates and staff

Qualifications

- 5-15 years of relevant experience in estate planning, estate and gift taxation, estate and trust administration, and related services
- A member of the Florida Bar or willing to become one
- LLM in Tax or Estate Planning preferred, but not required
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
