Energy Project Development Attorney
The candidate will work for a client base whose focus is providing consumers with reliable energy at affordable prices. Provide legal support for energy project development, particularly renewable energy projects, for public power, cooperative and tribal communities. Should preferably have a . degree and membership in at least one US State Bar with 5+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house. Should have relevant Experience including representation of public power, cooperative, and/or tribal utilities; renewable project development; project financing, including tax incentives, grants, and Federal and commercial financing resources; drafting and negotiation of generator interconnection processes and agreements; negotiation of energy project contracts; negotiation of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts; negotiation of public-private contracts; negotiation of power purchase agreements (PPAs); advising on transmission pricing and planning; and corporate Law, especially structuring and managing special purpose vehicles for renewable projects. Should be a highly motivated attorney with significant Energy Project Development experience.
