The Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated Legal Nurse Consultant to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance in the office. The ideal candidate will have a RN Degree and at least 1 year of experience in both a clinical and legal setting. Key Responsibilities: • Obtaining, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing medical records and other pertinent documents related to case medical facts • Identifying additional sources for obtaining medical records • Organizing and preparing medical chronologies • Researching and integrating relevant medical and nursing literature • Assisting attorneys with preparation of trial exhibits • Identifying, locating, interviewing, and evaluating potential experts • Maintaining an expert database and researching opposing counsel’s experts • Scheduling meetings and depositions • Performing clerical duties such as typing and filing • Entering billable time into computer on a daily basis • Meeting a minimum billing requirement of 140 hours per month • Performing non-billable functions as needed Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school or college of nursing • Registered Nurse license • 1 year of work experience in a clinical setting • 1 year of work experience in a legal setting preferred • Knowledge of medical and legal principles and practices • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and attention to detail skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with attorneys, staff, and clients • 45 wpm typing ability and proficiency in computer and office equipment • Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week as needed • Ability to sit, bend, stoop, and use computer for extended periods of time • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or more if needed • Valid driver’s license for occasional offsite travel Benefits: • Health, dental, life, STD, LTD, HSA, 401K, and vision insurance offered • Recognition as a top law firm by various publications and organizations • Positive and collaborative work environment If you are a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Nurse Consultant, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity at our growing and reputable law firm.
