## Workers’ Compensation Defense Senior Attorney at Foster Swift Collins & Smith

Foster Swift Collins & Smith . is looking for an experienced Senior Attorney to join their Workers’ Compensation Defense Group in their Lansing or Southfield offices. This is an in-office position with some in-state travel required. There may be future shareholder opportunities for interested candidates.

### Qualifications for the Position

- Must have Workers’ Comp experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills – candidates must enjoy writing
- Highly motivated, high energy and results-driven
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong attention to detail, with commitment to outstanding customer service
- High level proficiency with Word, Outlook and Excel

### Responsibilities of the Position

- Handle all aspects of Workers’ Compensation cases
- Analyze legal and factual issues, conduct extensive and develop well-reasoned legal research
- Work closely and collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants to ensure effective claim handling
- Regularly handle appearances before Workers’ Comp magistrates, conduct depositions and trials
- Maintain prompt communication with clients and provide status reports
- Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel and co-counsel with professional diplomacy and discretion
