About the Role

- Integral part of the Technology & Information Services team
- Responsible for connecting lawyers, clients, and the Technology & Information Services Department
- Ensures technology systems, tools, and services effectively meet the needs of attorneys and clients
- Provides updates and analysis of new technologies and industry trends to firm management and practice group leadership
- Located in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley office
- Eligible for flexible working schedule, allowing for hybrid and in-office presence

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

- Experienced in legaltech and general technology usage
- Passionate about emerging technologies and eager to learn and develop expertise in them
- Possesses advanced technology or technology-adjacent skills such as coding, product management, design thinking, or process optimization
- Demonstrates examples of innovating a process, product, or service in current or former employment or outside activities
- Keeps up with emerging technologies and innovative offerings in both legal and non-legal fields

Responsibilities:

- Works with practice group leadership to understand technology needs and develop strategies to improve efficiency
- Stays updated on new technologies that could impact legal service delivery
- Identifies opportunities to integrate existing and emerging technologies into specific practices
- Coordinates pilot and proof of concept programs, evaluating and testing products and services
- Makes recommendations for strategic deployment of efficient processes, policies, and technology solutions
- Communicates with third-party vendors and fosters relationships with industry organizations and thought leaders

Qualifications:

- Knowledge and experience with scripting languages, front-end technologies, and database languages
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a practicing lawyer in a law firm or legal operations role
- JD or equivalent and admission to the California state bar
- Experience in a technology role, preferably in completion of a software development/coding bootcamp
