Job Overview:
A rapidly expanding law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with experience in Family and Criminal Defense law. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 4-5 years of experience in areas such as Divorce, Custody, Adoption, DUI, Assault, and DWOL. Location:

  • Nashville, Tennessee

Duties:

  • Conduct consultations with prospective clients, aiming for a 35% to 40% closing rate, with approximately 4 new contracts per week.
  • Manage cases efficiently by maintaining timely communication with clients, team members, and other departments.
  • Follow the firm’s Client Communication Protocol (CCP) and create a weekly plan for case review.
  • Prepare and file motions, legal documents, and ensure excellent client experience.
  • Ensure that all cases are updated weekly in the case status report and remain on the team’s radar.
  • Produce timely reports for management on a daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual basis, automating and streamlining where possible.
  • Delegate effectively using the Delegation Matrix, maximizing attorney time, knowledge, and productivity.
  • Contribute to individual and firm-wide goals, meeting KPIs and expectations.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team, providing mentorship in trial advocacy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Family and Criminal Defense law, including Divorce, Custody, Adoption, DUI, Assault, and DWOL.
  • Licensed and able to practice law in Tennessee.
  • Strong litigation experience with a focus on mediation, negotiations, legal research, and writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and influence outcomes.
  • Agility to navigate fast-paced environments with a positive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • License to Practice Law in Tennessee (Required).

Skills:

  • Strong trial advocacy and courtroom skills.
  • Client management and effective communication.
  • Litigation, legal research, and writing.
  • Ability to meet performance targets (KPIs) and contribute to team goals.
  • Delegation and team management skills.
