Job Overview: A West Chester, PA law firm seeks a Mid-Level Municipal and Land Use Attorney to provide comprehensive legal representation to private and public clients in municipal and land use matters. The ideal candidate will handle a diverse caseload, attend meetings and hearings, draft legal documents, and maintain client relationships.

Job Duties:

  • Represent private and public clients, including elected officials, in various municipal and land use matters.
  • Attend and maintain a steady schedule of public and client meetings and conferences (., Board of Supervisors/Council, Municipal Authority, Planning Commission Meetings, Zoning Hearing Board Hearings).
  • Represent clients during hearings, trials, appeals, and quasi-judicial matters.
  • Draft necessary legal documents such as agreements, applications, ordinances, and zoning decisions.
  • Update clients regularly on the status of their cases.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree and Bar admission in Pennsylvania.
  • 3-5 years of legal practice focused on Municipal, Zoning, and Land Use.
  • Demonstrated initiative and experience in marketing legal practice and originating new clients.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in municipal law, zoning regulations, and land use planning.
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
