A law firm seeks a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role focuses on defending personal injury and construction defect cases. This is a hybrid position, offering the flexibility of both in-office and remote work. Duties

• Handle and manage a caseload of civil litigation matters, primarily focusing on personal injury and construction defect defense.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare motions.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strategize and execute litigation plans.
• Contribute to marketing and client development initiatives.

Requirements

• 3-8 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defense preferred.
• Strong work ethic and ability to independently manage case files from inception to resolution.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional legal research and persuasive writing abilities.
• Interest in building client relationships and expanding the firm’s network.
• Trial experience is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Education

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Utah.

• Comprehensive understanding of civil litigation processes and defense strategies.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client communication and team collaboration.
