A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join their Dallas, TX office. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in traditional labor law, specifically in labor relations and union-related matters. Location:
Duties:
- Handle unfair labor practice charges at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
- Research and write regarding management labor relations
- Represent management in NLRB elections
- Provide legal advice to employers regarding union organizing, corporate campaigns, card check, and neutrality agreements
- Negotiate and provide legal advice regarding collective bargaining agreements
- Manage grievance and arbitration proceedings
- Obtain mass picketing injunctions
- Advise on issues under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), including protected concerted activity
- Conduct management training on labor relations
- Advise management on union work stoppage situations
- Occasionally provide counsel on California workplace laws and other assignments as needed
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in traditional labor law, specifically in labor relations
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Texas Bar Admission
- Strong understanding of current state and federal agency enforcement techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage projects effectively
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
- Willingness to travel for business purposes
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
