Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Handle unfair labor practice charges at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
  • Research and write regarding management labor relations
  • Represent management in NLRB elections
  • Provide legal advice to employers regarding union organizing, corporate campaigns, card check, and neutrality agreements
  • Negotiate and provide legal advice regarding collective bargaining agreements
  • Manage grievance and arbitration proceedings
  • Obtain mass picketing injunctions
  • Advise on issues under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), including protected concerted activity
  • Conduct management training on labor relations
  • Advise management on union work stoppage situations
  • Occasionally provide counsel on California workplace laws and other assignments as needed

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in traditional labor law, specifically in labor relations
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Texas Bar Admission
  • Strong understanding of current state and federal agency enforcement techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage projects effectively
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Texas Bar Admission

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of labor laws and regulations
  • Ability to negotiate and manage complex labor agreements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Project management experience
