Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex finance transactions in a first-chair capacity.
• Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements and related loan documents.
• Conduct thorough due diligence for finance-related matters.
• Represent both lender and borrower sides in financial transactions.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on finance-related issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the firm's finance practice.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and standards.
• Handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high responsiveness.
• Deliver exceptional client service and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements:

• 6-15 years of significant experience in finance matters.
• Demonstrated ability to lead transactions in a first-chair capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of lender and borrower side work, loan documentation, and due diligence.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating credit agreements and related loan documents.
• Portable book of business preferred.
• Strong business development capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding customer/client service skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.
