Experience Information:

Meta is currently seeking a skilled Employment Investigator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and fair investigations into employment-related matters. You will work closely with cross-functional partners and utilize data to identify systemic issues and develop long-term solutions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to deliver compliance education programs and training to address workplace issues proactively.

As an Employment Investigator, you will play a critical role in ensuring a respectful and inclusive workplace for all employees. This position requires a high level of empathy, as well as the ability to provide direct feedback and handle difficult situations with professionalism and sensitivity.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct complex employment-related investigations, including intake meetings, background research, investigative interviews, and debrief meetings
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Employment Law, HR, Employee Relations, Security, and Internal Audit
- Investigate complaints involving violations of law or policy, such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other inappropriate behavior
- Utilize data to identify systemic issues and develop long-term solutions
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the investigation process
- Remain respectful and empathetic in difficult or uncomfortable situations

Minimum Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience investigating and advising on employment-related matters
- Experience conducting investigations that will withstand legal scrutiny in multiple jurisdictions
- Experience working independently and exercising good judgment
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships in a highly cross-functional environment
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate or advanced degree in a relevant field
- Experience identifying relevant legal issues
- Project management experience at both strategic and tactical levels
- Formal training and/or certification in investigations
- Experience conducting facilitation and/or mediations
- Experience in labor and employment law practice
