The position offers a competitive salary and generous benefits.Duties:Manage a criminal defense caseload, including handling cases from initial intake through resolution.Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and negotiations.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on criminal defense matters.Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda, reports, and case strategies.Engage with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather evidence and build cases.Handle family and immigration law matters if interested or experienced, in addition to criminal defense cases.Stay informed about developments in criminal defense law and related legal areas.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar.Experience or strong interest in criminal defense law.Passion for criminal defense and commitment to client advocacy.Experience or interest in family and immigration matters is a plus.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar.Skills:Proficiency in managing criminal defense cases and understanding of criminal law procedures.Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Effective oral and written communication skills.Ability to handle multiple cases and manage time efficiently.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Enthusiasm for criminal defense and a client-centered approach to legal practice.
