Job Description

Law Firm is searching for an Associate Attorney with 4-8 years of experience for its Real Estate business unit in its Chicago, IL office. This attorney will be responsible for drafting and negotiating documents for commercial real estate transactions and real estate loan transactions. Qualified candidates must have experience with diverse, commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, loans, development, management, and leasing. Candidates with experience representing real estate development clients as well as experience with general corporate and transactional matters are preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Draft and negotiate documents for commercial real estate transactions and real estate loan transactions
- Represent real estate development clients
- Handle general corporate and transactional matters
- Provide accurate and timely advice on legal matters
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other professionals
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion when providing legal advice

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois
- 4-8 years of experience in Real Estate
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
