The Federal Public Defender's Office in the Western District of Michigan is currently seeking a Student Assistant (CS IS) Information Technology to join our team. This is a non-paid position, which is available for college credit only.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in web site design, computer security, network support and management and PowerPoint presentations.

The successful candidate will report to the Computer Systems Administrator and Administrative Officer.

## Job Description

The Student Assistant (CS IS) Information Technology will be required to:

- Design web sites using open source PHP language, ASP, HTML, etc.
- Implement computer security measures, such as Linux or other OS based IDS, firewalls, patch management etc.
- Provide technical support and diagnosis of computer problems.
- Prepare presentations using PowerPoint.
