The Position The ideal candidate for this position will have a JD from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in the state of Texas. They should also have 2-5 years of experience in defense litigation, with a focus on employment and labor cases. Experience handling federal court cases, including those related to employment, is also preferred. Superior written and oral communication skills are a must, and legal project management experience is a plus. Responsibilities for this role include independently managing a caseload of employment and ERISA matters from claim inception to end. The attorney will also work closely with other team members and partners on legal projects, regularly handle court appearances and depositions, and communicate with clients to provide status reports.
