The Position:

- As a toxic tort paralegal, you will be responsible for supporting our Products Liability and Toxic Tort Practice Group, specifically in defending asbestos cases.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working on asbestos/toxic tort litigation cases and be able to manage multiple cases at various stages of the litigation process, from service of new petition/complaint through trial.
- This is a full-time position located in our St. Louis (Clayton) office.

Responsibilities:

- Draft routine legal documents and manage multiple cases from start to trial.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and summarize medical records and other relevant documents.
- Assist with preparation for depositions and trials, including gathering and organizing exhibits and assisting with witness management.
- Conduct document searches and factual research.
- Communicate with clients, court, medical providers/experts, and other legal counsel involved in the case.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
- Paralegal certification required.
- At least 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal working on asbestos/toxic tort cases.
- Experience in all phases of the litigation process.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects for several attorneys.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Able to adapt to changing priorities and be flexible.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of firm personnel, clients, and other legal professionals.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify solutions.
