Estate Administration Paralegal

**Estate Administration Paralegal**

Our law firm is seeking a full-time, experienced paralegal to work in the area of trust and estate administration. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years (preferably 3+ years) of solid trust and estate paralegal experience along with a bachelor’s degree and a paralegal certificate or equivalent.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Communicating with clients and their family members, accountants and financial advisors
- Preparing and filing all Surrogate’s Court pleadings
- Gathering assets in a decedent’s estate
- Assisting in valuing decedent’s assets as of the date of death
- Preparation of the estate tax returns and Form 8971
- Assisting in the distribution of the estate including the preparation of assignments, deeds

**Qualifications:**
- Highly proactive with attention to detail
- Dependable and extremely organized
- Excellent math and computer skills, including at least intermediate command of Word and Excel
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent proofreading skills and clear and concise communication skills

**Salary and Benefits:**
