A law firm in Sewell, NJ, is seeking a highly experienced Land Use and Real Estate Attorney with a portable business of at least 500K. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex real estate transactions and land use matters.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients regarding real estate transactions, land use planning, zoning issues, and environmental regulations.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents about real estate transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and title examinations for real estate transactions.
  • Represent clients before zoning boards, planning commissions, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Handle litigation related to real estate disputes, including boundary disputes, eminent domain, and land use litigation.
  • Advise clients on compliance with local, state, and federal regulations affecting real estate development and land use.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar in New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing real estate law, focusing on land use and zoning.
  • Demonstrated success in generating and maintaining a portable business of 500K or more.
  • Proven track record in handling complex real estate transactions and land use matters.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience representing developers, property owners, and municipalities in land use matters.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations impacting real estate development.
  • Prior experience in managing a team of attorneys and support staff.

Certifications and Skills:

  • Certification or specialization in real estate law or land use planning (preferred).
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial implications in real estate transactions.
