A New York City, NY law firm seeks a dedicated and experienced Mid-/Senior-level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will represent a diverse clientele, including business owners, landlords, managing agents, security services organizations, and other commercial entities in general liability litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients, such as business owners and commercial entities, in general liability litigation.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop effective litigation strategies for the defense of general liability actions.
  • Draft and review pleadings, discovery documents, memos, briefs, and other legal correspondence and litigation materials.
  • Represent clients in court, including participating in depositions, conferences, hearings, and all other aspects of general liability litigation.
  • Interact with medical experts to incorporate medical evidence into cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal and medical research and analysis.
  • Draft and argue motions on behalf of clients.
  • Work cooperatively with colleagues and maintain effective client communication to command client confidence.

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in New York.
  • 3+ years of experience in personal injury litigation or comparable litigation experience.
  • Familiarity with New York Labor Law is a plus.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients and maintain their confidence.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent litigation skills, particularly in general liability matters.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting comprehensive legal research.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective client communication and collaboration with team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team environment.
