A law firm is seeking a Mid-to-Senior level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney for their San Francisco, California office. The candidate will handle cutting-edge labor and employment litigation matters involving a broad range of interesting, high-profile clients and topics. Focus on defending clients in single and multi-plaintiff actions (in court and arbitration), defending employers in class and PAGA employment litigation, investigating and responding to administrative charges, and advising clients on employment-related matters.

 

Duties:

  • Defend clients in single and multi-plaintiff actions, both in court and arbitration settings.
  • Represent employers in class and PAGA employment litigation.
  • Investigate and respond to administrative charges.
  • Provide advice and counsel to employers on various California-based employment issues.
  • Offer day-to-day advice to clients, prepare handbooks and employment policies, and conduct training for managers and employees.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in California.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing labor and employment law, preferably with a focus on California employment law.
  • Civil litigation and/or trial experience is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in California.

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of labor and employment law, particularly California employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
