Law Firm Seeking Experienced Associate for Energy and Infrastructure Group Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 per year Experience: 2 years Juris Doctor degree required Admission to practice law in the District of Columbia required Telecommuting and/or remote work options available Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, a prestigious law firm in Washington, ., is currently seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join their Energy and Infrastructure group. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree and at least two years of experience representing clients in debt financings in the energy or infrastructure sector. In this role, the Mid-Level Associate will work on a variety of tasks related to debt financings, including legal research, due diligence, drafting documents, and coordinating with internal teams. Responsibilities: - Conduct legal research using various resources, including the Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR platform and internal banking law practice group resources, to address issues related to energy and infrastructure projects - Perform due diligence on financing, merger and acquisition, and project documents, including purchase and sale agreements, tax equity documents, construction contracts, and supply or offtake agreements - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of good standing certificates and other State-certified closing deliverables - Draft debt financing documents using precedent financing documents and template provisions, such as the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA) templates or Practical Law database template provisions - Conduct due diligence for the . Federal Government's Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) loan program - Maintain and update checklists for financings involving clients and/or affiliates Requirements: - Juris Doctor degree or equivalent - Minimum of two years of experience representing clients in connection with debt financings in the energy or infrastructure sector - Admission to practice law in the District of Columbia - Strong research and analytical skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office - Experience with the Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR platform and the .
