This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of tax controversy disputes, including audits, appeals, and litigation, and requires practical experience with federal income tax issues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in tax controversy disputes, including audits, appeals, and litigation
- Handle substantive federal income tax issues
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and office staff in a team environment
- Communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
- Utilize practical experience with tax controversy disputes to provide valuable insights and strategies

Qualifications:
- 0-5 years of experience in tax controversy disputes
- Practical experience with federal income tax issues
- Corporate and partnership experience is a plus
- Law firm, accounting firm, IRS, Tax Court, and/or Department of Justice (Tax Division) experience is preferred
- Degree in accounting, CPA license, or . in Tax is helpful but not required
- Excellent academic and employment credentials
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Admitted to practice in at least one state (Texas a plus)
