Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

- Participate in all aspects of litigation, including client interviews, investigation, preparation of legal documents, negotiation, pre-trial hearings, and trials.
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in accordance with program priorities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the community and leaders in the community.
- Determine client eligibility and make appropriate referrals to private attorney involvement programs.
- Assist with Private Attorney Involvement activities, including client intake, referral, and public relations.
- Other duties as assigned or needed.

Desired Education and Experience:

- Law degree and active membership in the California Bar.
- Understanding of poverty law objectives.
- Prior experience serving low-income clients preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and interviewing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team.
- Patient, flexible, and experienced in calendaring and litigation.
- Background in legal areas impacting impoverished communities preferred.
- At least five years of experience in family law for Staff Attorney II position.
- Supervisory experience desired.

Benefits & Compensation:

- Salary range of $78,000 - $115,000.
