Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team and handle sophisticated professional services agreements, master service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and various litigation and transactional matters. The role involves working closely with internal business teams, subject matter experts, and senior attorneys to resolve disputes and provide legal counsel in corporate and commercial law matters across multiple industry sectors.

Duties:

  • Draft, negotiate, and advise on complex commercial contracts with clients and third-party service providers
  • Investigate and resolve disputes arising from company-client and third-party relationships
  • Educate internal clients regarding positions and issues in contractual negotiations
  • Work with internal clients to address legal, risk, and business issues in commercial transactions
  • Understand and apply regulatory changes to both new and existing contracts
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and concurrent tasks
  • Participate in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and third-party risk management activities
  • Maintain and populate contract files and repositories
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar
  • 1-2 years of experience in litigation or transactional matters, preferably with exposure to corporate law
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail with strong research capabilities
  • Robust interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Persuasive communication skills to build trust and expand the client base

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Texas Bar Admission (required)
